Define This

According to a web site I stumbled upon this evening, the word set has the most definitions of any word in the English language. I'm not much in the mood for validating that, but it's certainly a plausible contention.

I have heard that factoid before. I looked in my dictionary, and sure enough there are a lot of definitions for "set". I didn't bother comparing it to all the other words in the dictionary; I just took it on faith and moved on.
