There Should Be a Law

The above screen shot is the first paragraph of a lawyer’s review of a software product I was thinking about buying today. His writing rivals the spew I see (and cringe at) on internet message boards.

While I acknowledge that not everyone can be a lex machine, it’s hard to forgive a college-educated professional for this kind of writing. His homophonic faux pas is even worse. Council? Are you kidding me?

I'm embarrassed to say that I frequently write run-on sentences myself, Carlos.

I'd consult a hightly respected attorney.
Do it yourself products leave out significant information sometimes.

:-) Thanks for the advice. I think that's what I'm going to do. My mom had a wonderful trust & will that made things so simple.

Whenever I see a professional's review of a product in their own line of work, I simply refuse to buy or use the product. I fear that perhaps the product caused the reviewer's grammar problem. It's probably an irrational fear, but I'm going to stay on the safe side!

Yeah...I"m not sure I'd ever patronize this guy. If he doesn't take the time to proof his web site, I can't imagine he's much better at his legal documents!
